Are you an experienced business analyst with controlling expertise and a passion for driving retail business performance through data? We are looking for a Head of Analytics & Controlling - Retail (all genders) to lead our analytics and reporting functions, providing strategic insights that will shape and enhance our retail business.

Your Responsibilities

• Drive measurable business impact by delivering actionable insights through scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Lead your team in analyzing and optimizing all dimensions of our retail business performance, including sales, traffic, costs, profitability, customer behavior, pricing, inventory health, and market trends.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Tech & Data, Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations) to foster a data-driven decision-making culture.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide transparency into business performance, using tools like Power BI, Looker, Excel, and SQL.
• Build automated, reliable, and secure reporting and analytics solutions, enabling your team to focus on insights and business opportunities rather than repetitive tasks, as well as leading key improvement initiatives, focusing on both quick wins and long-term strategies.
• Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in collaboration with the finance department.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 8+ years of proven experience in business analytics and (financial) controlling, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the retail industry.
• Expertise in data analytics, business intelligence tools, and financial modeling, paired with experience in building scalable, automated reporting and analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Python, SQL), and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of statistics and basic data science principles, with a proven ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Fluent in both German and English.
